That was $400 that my adopted parents didn’t have. They already had 4 kids and worked 3 jobs and could have bought a lot of presents for that Christmas for their 4 natural born kids
They didn’t have $400 to buy a human
But they did
For $400 they took a kid out of an alcholic, drug abuse, violent home into a safe…albeit some mental abuse by 4 older sisters :)…and loving home
